Myself and Connor are taking on Tough Mudder Scotland 2014 to raise money for Strathcarron Hospice. This charity is very special to me, and they do some really incredible work.

The hospice receives only 38 pence out of every pound they need from the NHS, and it takes almost £75,000 per week for them to provide free care. 

Offering medical care for those with incurable illnesses, they aim to make life as comfortable as possible. They also offer support for the relatives, and specialist support for children.

I have seen the things that the people at Strathcarron do for the residents, and they are truly wonderful. From a little glass of sherry, getting their nails done, or just a nice place to sit and relax. 

The Tough Mudder event we are taking part in is on the 14th of June in Dalkeith, Edinburgh and involves 12 miles of gruelling assault courses. Ice, fire, electricity, heights, water and most of all mud will test us both physically and mentally. We have trained hard, but it will all be worth it in the end!
