Three weeks after her birth in June 2023, our lives were turned upside down when our beautiful baby girl Maeve was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, a genetic condition which affects the lungs, digestive system and other organs.

Dealing with this life changing news was difficult for us as new parents, but with support from her hospital team and The Leanne Fund, we have managed to navigate this past year and give Maeve the best possible start to life.

The Leanne Fund are the foremost Cystic Fibrosis support organisation in Scotland - bringing hope to those affected by the illness, sharing the burdens that CF brings, and significantly changing the lives of sufferers and their families.

To thank The Leanne Fund for their invaluable support, myself and three of Maeve’s amazing aunties are taking part in the Kiltwalk in Aberdeen on 2nd June. Any donations to this worthwhile cause would be very much appreciated.
