Story
Dear friend
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. On 25th-26th August 2006 I (Emma) am taking part in a long run/walk around the Mont Blanc with Mike (it's 86km, or over 50 miles, with 4,500 m climb). It's going to be a long slog, but I am looking forward to it... in a masochistic kind of way. I'd like to raise sponsorship money ($7,900 USD in total, of which about £2,000 from fellow Brits) from friends and colleagues to build a house with Habitat for Humanity in Kyrgyzstan next July 2007. My co-leader for the trip is Laura Ferent, an employee of Habitat based in Budapest.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me if you are UK-based: Habitat for Humanity will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor our endeavour!
Many thanks for your support.

PS - the photo on the left is the Women's Build team in Armenia, July 2005. Laura is on the far left at the front, and I (Emma) am on the right in the back row. The women are the volunteers, as well as local village women. The woman in red is Gohar, for whom we were building the house you see in the background. Gohar, her husband Hovhannes, and their two children, Artur and Gayane, moved into their house in Spring 2006.
