Being a cancer patient I understand and appreciate the importance of research and whenever I can I try my best to help the scientists continue doing the fantastic work they do. From a blood sample to a charity bike ride I can offer help in many ways. Today I took part in the Yorkshire Cancer Research 'Pedal for Pounds' event. In previous editions I had ridden 25 miles, but this year I went for the 'big one' - 50 miles on a challenging hilly route, which I completed in 6 hours.
