We support people with disabilities to lead more independent lives

Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. Dogs For The Disabled gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Dogs for the Disabled creates life-changing partnerships by training assistance dogs to help disabled people lead a fuller, more independent life.

Every assistance dog trained by the charity offers practical help to the people we support. Our work with physically disabled adults opens doors to independence, giving a new sense of confidence and freedom, often long forgotten. In 2004, the Children's Project was introduced, training dogs for physically disabled children and offering a friend and helper rolled into one.

This year, the charity has launched a new project to train assistance dogs for children with autism and their families . Providing a new focus and support for the whole family.

Raising £7,500 would purchase a puppy at 7 weeks old, we would have the opportunity to name this pup, all the vaccinations, regular vet checks, socialise and train and see it matched with a disabled child or adult. We would get regular updates throughout the dogs training. We are holding our Charity day this year at their premises in September.

So please donate now!
