Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Evie Grace Clasper was born on 30/06/2010 with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Evie needs a series of 3 operations to correct her condition, she is currently awaiting the first of these operations, the Norwood Procedure, after already having 2 other ops due to complications with her bowel.
She is currently being cared for by the amazing staff at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle and we as her family would like to try and help to give something back by raising money for CHUF (Children's Heart Unit Fund) http://www.chuf.org.uk
CHUF helps the Freeman Hospital by raising money to buy equipment, facilities, aftercare, pay salaries and research for the Children's Heart Unit and PICU. Around 300 small babies and children are operated on each year by the children's heart surgeons at the Freeman Hospital.
Evie came out of surgery about 6pm yesterday (12/08/2010) the op went well but there have been problems stabilising her sats and blood pressure. Her wound has been left open for a few days this is mainly due to swelling but also if they need to go back in urgently its much easier. The next couple of days are critical so please spare Evie a thought and if you haven't already then even a small donation goes a long way to help the amazing people at the Freeman Hospital.
