Story
Hi there and thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In October this year I'm going to run the Royal Parks Half Marathon for a second time. Following my first half marathon in 2011, which I finished in 1 hours and 56 minutes, my plan is to complete the 21.1 km (13.1 miles) this year in less than 1 hour and 45 minutes. In order to not only have a great challenge ahead of me but also to do something good and worthwile, I'm going to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
As you can read in more detail in the box on the right, Marie Curie Cancer Care provides nursing for terminally ill cancer patients, at no cost to the patient, giving them the opportunity to spend their final days at home with the support of their families. Donating just £20 secures one valuable hour of nursing for a terminally ill patient. My fundraising target of £540 could provide overnight Marie Curie nursing care for three patients in their own home.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to Marie Curie Cancer Care. If you're a UK taxpayer, JustGiving will reclaim Gift Aid at no cost to you. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Remember, every Pound is a valuable contribution, providing terminally ill patients with the opportunity to die at home with the support of their families. So please dig deep and donate now - every donation is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your support, Fabian
