The Pepperoni is mincemeat! I chopped him down to size. I fed him to the crowds! Had him for breakfast... To be honest I never saw him, I think he was afraid of the humiliation he knew he would endure and did not pitch up. To the next encounter then.                                                                                         

What an amazing day. I have never seen so many people supporting and the cheers were outrageous even deafening at some stages. They loved Elvis and if we(Sense) had one pound for every time I heard; Uaha! or Tank you, thank you very much! We would have raised millions.                 

If you ever decide to run, you simply have to dress-up, it is such a waste to be anonymous. There were, Rhinos, trees(run forest run), Elvisses (fake), Cinderellas, Tarzan and Janes, all of them sacrificing a bit of comfort, but gaining masses of support. Four hours of fame!

The London Marathon has the most amazing ability to transform the people of London for the duration of the race. They change from being introverted recluse beings to raving lunatics. They reach-out, support and encourage the brave(stupid) runners, identifying with their story of courage and determination. Most of them say "next year I am going to run".                                                      

So many people dedicated their run to someone special they lost in the recent past. They would print a picture of the loved one on their running vest and you just know, when it hurt the most, they drew courage from their memory. A wife missing her husband, a father missing his daughter....                                                                                                              

My run went perfect. I enjoyed every moment and managed to squeeze-out a time of 3:58. I'll have to be back next year, to do this again. The London Marathon must surely be the best marathon in the world and the supporters make it so.
