The Aspire Channel Swim 2018, challenges people to swim the distance of the Channel over 12 weeks, in their local pool, to raise money for Charity.

 I have decided to increase my personal challenge by setting a goal to complete the swim in 6 weeks rather than 12. The distance is 22 miles,  or 35,420 metres. I reckon I need to swim half a mile/810 metres a day to hit my target. The distance is ok but I usually swim  2/3 t8mes a week not 7!

The charity I will be swimming for is Aspire.co.uk. Every eight hours someone is paralysed by a Spinal Cord Injury and Aspire provides the essential equipment, advice, housing and grants that spinal cord injured people need to live their lives independently. This is a big challenge, but the more I raise, the more of a difference I'll make, any amount, however small, is appreciated.
