Story
I am raising money for Student Hubs' Winter Fundraiser. Student Hubs are a national charity that work with students and community groups in Bristol, Cambridge, Kingston, Southampton and Winchester to add capacity, make change, and bring students and communities together. The theme of their Winter Fundraiser is inspiring the next generation.
For the past 10 years, Student Hubs supported local families and young people by providing free student tutors, running activity days for young people facing disadvantages, facilitating mentoring, and making resources for local schools and classes. They want to channel energy into continuing to run free programmes and interventions for young people locally, removing barriers to opportunities and adding much needed capacity to our schools, families and youth groups locally.
The 7 Days of Orangemas Challenge includes 7 days during the week commencing 29th November, where I'll be doing:
- Day 1: Wear Hub orange
- Day 2: Bake or cook something
- Day 3: Do a physical activity (e.g. dance, desk-yoga, go for a walk)
- Day 4: Wildcard – decide your own challenge!
- Day 5: Nominate Student Hubs for Movement for Good’s £1000 charity draw
- Day 6: Learn about a social issue
- Day 7: Share an orange with a friend, family member, peer or colleague
