Story
As you may now know we took part in Trailwalker UK , which is a 100km continual trek across the South Downs of England, starting in Petersfield first thing Saturday morning and ending in Brighton around lunchtime on Sunday. This was by far the most challenging event any of us had done, with the heat, lack of sleep and blisters pushing us to tap into internal resources we didn't know we had. With the team literally walking till they dropped, a sterling effort was made by all concerned, and between us we walked 311 km.
This event is for a great cause. Sponsorship money raised will support education projects run by the Gurkha Welfare Trust (GWT) in Nepal, and the work of Oxfam in more than 70 of the world's poorest countries. Your donations will help people to work their way out of poverty and build a better future for their families.
Thank you so much to all of those who have donated thus far. We have until mid September to collect donations, so if you'd like to, please dig deep and sponsor us online. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Oxfam will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support. Treena, Natalie, Bonnie and Charlotte
