Story
The last event I ever got sponsored for was a sponsored silence!! So what's made me go from that to a Marathon....in a nutshell, my 5 yr old daughter has at the last count 8 life threatening allergies. We are lucky that as a family we manage to create a safe environment for her and she has the confidence to voice her allergies herself to others. She is a solider and so resilient that she has taught me about strength of character. (that's her in the picture)
I can't take her allergies away from her nor will I be able to keep her safe all the time especially as she gets older, but what I can do is run 26.2 miles (don't forget the .2) and raise some funds for The Anaphylaxis Campaign to raise awareness of the impact allergies can have and campaign for more NHS support so other allergy sufferers can get some support and navigate through what seems like an endless nightmare.
So give as little and much as you can, I will take anything. I am pretty sure I won't be able to walk after I have run the marathon, but walk, run, crawl, hop, limbo, moondance - I will complete it.
