Story
In May 2010 my good friend and former running partner, Martyn 'Blinker' Franzese, passed away very quickly due to complications with his heart. He had suffered for a few years with such problems and the treatment he received highlighted just how much research still needs to be conducted into an illness that affects 2.6 million of us in the UK every year. In order to remember Blinker in a fitting manner I am aiming to raise a substantial amount of money in his memory and to help the battle against heart disease by running the Virgin London Marathon 2011. Anyone that knows me personally is aware that most of my body has been twisted, torn, broken and operated on over the last decade which makes this task even more challenging. So please dig deep, donate and look out for me on April 17th next year crossing the line in an excruciating amount of pain but with a smile on my face.
