I like to run and help raise funds for charities that are close to mine and my families heart. I wasn't going to run for charity in either of the two marathons that I have coming up but one event changed this completely. As most will know, my nephew Corey passed away earlier this year at just 26 days old. He was in the NICU at St. Thomas' Hospital from the moment he was born to the moment he passed away.

The staff were great and did all they could to help him, and were magnificent in their support for my sister Natalie. If it wasn't for them we wouldn't have had him here for that long and their dedication allowed for some cherished memories.

I can't imagine what it was like for Natalie, I  myself felt completely feeble and powerless and the only thing I could think of was doing something in his memory. Just prior to his passing I won an entry to run the Toronto Waterfront Marathon in Canada and I am combining this with the London Marathon as a personal challenge and one that will seeing me running hundreds of miles and putting my body to the test.

For these combined events I will be running for Evelina Children's Hospital so that other children are given all the help and care that they need and the parents and families are able to recieve the support and dedication of their wonderful staff. So please donate whatever you can for such a fantastic cause, no amount is too small.
