So this year I'm riding in the Prudential Ride London 100 (mile) event to help raise both awareness and money for a truly wonderful organisation. 

Great Ormond Street Hospital recently looked after my dear friend's daughter, Lizzy Bremer, after she was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of childhood cancer known as Neuroblastoma. 

I would urge you to watch the video clip of Alex Bremer, Lizzy's father, explaining Lizzy's condition (with which she eventually lost her fight). It features dialogue from a few of Lizzy's carers at GOSH, explaining what it was like to treat her, and how they became attached to that wonderful girl (having known her only briefly, I can say that anyone would have found that hard to avoid).

The point is, that without the incredible work undertaken and care provided by the staff at GOSH, this family (and I'm certain hundreds of others) would not have been able to deal with what was happening to them. GOSH staff really do care for the whole family unit, not just the patient they are treating. 

If you would like to support this charity, I know there are many that would be grateful. Financial support is as important as sharing the stories, and raising the level of interest in the good work they do.
