We assist vulnerable and disabled children to gain access to education and health care

Story

Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world, yet with just a little help people's lives can be radically transformed. This help is needed by many disabled children in Mendulo, Malawi who have to undergo health assessments under a tree (see videoclip). If these children were assessed immediately at birth, the impact of their disabilities could be reduced and their lives vastly improved. St Ambrose High School, Coatbridge would like to build these children a proper health assessment centre. With your help we know we can!

Mrs Millar, Louise Foster, Sarah Chapman and Chris Arcari were privileged to be part of a group from St Ambrose who visited Malawi earlier this year and witnessed at first-hand the plight of the Malawian people. For £12,000 the local people could build a properly equipped assessment centre which would make a huge difference to the children and grant them the dignity they deserve.

You can donate £1, £5 or £10 by texting "Brix90" to 70070 or you can choose to donate more than £10 using this page.

If you donate £10 your name will be inscribed on a brick in a wall of St Ambrose High School which is being created to track the progress of our build. If you would like to donate £100 or more you will have your name engraved on a plaque which will be mounted inside the assessment centre in Malawi. (Please ensure that you do not select 'anonymous' if you want your name to be engraved).

Thank you in advance for giving generously and helping us to help some of the neediest children in the world. You can change their lives and earn their undying gratitude.
