Story
In 2013, we lost a close family friend - Sylvie Gore, who had battled with cancer for some time. It is thanks to the Fountain Centre that Sylvie was able to live a more comfortable life before she passed away.
When a patient is diagnosed with cancer they often find themselves in a state of shock with their lives spiralling out of control, not knowing where to turn. The Fountain Centre is there for patients and their families from the initial cancer diagnosis until treatment finishes and beyond.
They provide information, counselling and complementary therapies, allowing patients to make informed choices and regain control of their future.
They rely on the generosity of their volunteers and donors and those who support their fundraising events to keep going – which costs nearly £200,000 every year.
