Story
Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.
I have a t-shirt that reads: "Never again...until the next time...it's what happens after marathons!". Well here we are at the next time.
I am running the 26.2 miles of the Flora London Marathon on April 13th 2008 in aid of THE MISCARRIAGE ASSOCIATION and would be very grateful if you would consider sponsoring my efforts; even the smallest amount helps.
The Miscarriage Association is a registered national charity, offering its services across the UK through Support, Information, Awareness and Better Care.
More than one in five pregnancies ends in miscarriage - around a quarter of a million in the UK each year.
Most miscarriages happen in the first three months of pregnancy - but they can happen up to the 24th week.
Any woman who is pregnant is also at risk of miscarriage - it can happen to anyone.
It is common for women who have miscarried to feel high levels of anxiety in a subsequent pregnancy.
The Miscarriage Association works to raise awareness and sensitivity amongst health professionals through lectures, workshops and articles in professional journals. Their attitude and care can make all the difference in coping with the loss of a baby in pregnancy.
If you have read this far, thank you for taking the time and I hope you will be able to sponsor me.
Many thanks for your support, Fraser.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Miscarriage Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
