Story
#FreeTheKnee 2019 takes place of Friday 5 July. In aid of Prostate Cancer Support Gibraltar, individuals and organisations are encouraged to ‘Free the knee’ and wear shorts/skirts to help raise awareness for Prostate Cancer.
Support individuals and families in your community who have been affected by taking part in #FreeTheKnee. The campaign aims to educate the public on Prostate Cancer.
Over the years GFSC staffs have come up with great ways to raise awareness apart from the Friday dress code which include;
an office breakfast and our brave male members of staff having their legs waxed to help raise as much money as possible. This year, we want everybody to get involved and get the FreeTheKnee campaign on an international level!
Show your support by:
- Proudly wearing your shorts/skirts to work
- Take a picture wearing your shorts/skirts at work and tag Facebook: Gibraltar Financial Services Commission or Twitter: @Gibfsc and #FreeTheKnee
- Come along to our quiz night - Date TBC
- Take the night off and join us at our #FreeTheKnee BBQ - Date TBC
- Enter our raffle for a chance to win some amazing prizes!
Register your interest and we’ll drop off Prostate Cancer Support Group Gibraltar merchandise including pens, key rings and bags that can help in spreading awareness across Gibraltar.
Organise a charitable event within the office on the day to raise money to donate to Prostate Cancer Support Group Gibraltar.
Prostate Cancer Support Group Gibraltar seeks to limit the impact
of prostate cancer and other prostate diseases to all men, their partners
and their families. They seek to prioritise the vital need for prostate
problems to be detected and treated as early as possible and represent the interests of all men diagnosed with prostate cancer and other prostate diseases. Their overall mission is to find ways and means to promote quality of life for prostate cancer patients and their families.
