14 Challenges for 2014 · 1 January 2014

Scotty’s Little Soldiers is a charity dedicated to supporting children & young people who have experienced the death of a parent who served in the British Armed Forces. A range of programmes are provided to support their bereavement needs, well-being, education and development.

Story

Because we decided one challenge was not enough!

My sister and I, both students at Cardiff University, both felt like we wanted to raise some money for this fantastic charity, and thought what better way to do so then to complete a series of challenges throughout the year.

Scotty's Little Soldiers is a relatively unknown charity which does absolutely fantastic work close to both our hearts. Having had a father, grandfather, uncles and friends all serve in the military we feel like it could have been us in the position that hundreds of children are in today! Scotty's Little Soldiers aims to make life a little easier for the children who have lost a parent in the army, and this is an abolsutely fantastic cause.

So what exactly are we going to do? We have 14 challenges planned, including running, hiking, swimming, cycling and even climbing.

Look out for our blog :    http://14for2014.wordpress.com/

and Facebook Page:     https://www.facebook.com/14challengesfor2014

For updates and to see how we are getting on.

At this point it is fit to mention that our inspiration for the challenges comes from a good friend, Ben Adams, who completed 13 Challenges for 2013 for the John Hartson Foundation and managed to far surpass his target of £1000

The next 12 months is going to be very challenging, but very rewarding, so please help us reach our £2000 target

Thank you so much for taking time to look at our page, donate money for each challenge we do, as a one off, or even just join with us for some of our challenges

Many Thanks
