1 Million Press Ups

Jonathan Evans is raising money for Tŷ Hafan

1 Million Press Ups · 26 December 2020

Sadly, thousands of families in Wales live every day knowing their child’s life will be short. At the moment, they often face this without any care or support. Alone. Afraid. Isolated. Tŷ Hafan’s ambition is that when a child’s life will be short, no family should have to live it on their own.

Story

Ty Hafan, Wales leading children's charity and hospice opened its doors 21 years ago and has been a lifeline for children with life-limiting conditions and their families ever since. After more than two
decades of being used 365 days a year and providing essential around-the-clock care to over 1000 children and families in Wales, the hospice needed essential refurbishment so that they can continue to help families for the next 20 years and beyond.

This year they have embarked on an ambitious refurbishment project to make our hospice fit for the future. They have raised most of the money needed but are short by £170,000 and desperately need  support to get us over the finishing line.

This is where Team Admiral come in.

We too have set an ambitious goal of doing 1 MILLION PRESS UPS to help support Ty Hafan.

This is a team effort with over 100 staff members across the business pledging a press up goal and making a donation.

This is a HUGE challenge but the support of our colleagues, friends and family can help us achieve it!

Please share with your networks, spread the word and encourage people to donate so we can help make Ty Hafan fit for future generations of children to come.

Here's how our donations can help:

£300 - could pay for furniture to finish a child’s bedroom

£1,000: could go towards sensory lighting, promoting a peaceful and therapeutic environment throughout the hospice

£3,500: could pay for a specialist soundproofed door, enabling children and families to experience a good night’s sleep during their stay

£5,000: could pay for height-adjusting worktops in the kitchenette that will allow young adults to independently learn new skills in the kitchen while ensuring that we are inclusive to all abilities

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
