We focus on less intrusive cancer treatment to be more accessible and more affordable

Story

What is GMRI?
GMRI is focused on making cancer treatment less intrusive more accessible and more affordable.

Who is Nick?
Nick White is my colleague at Xero. Nick is passionate about the Gillies-McIndoe Research Institute (GMRI) and is an ambassador for GMRI.
Nick has survived cancer before - and 5 years after recovering from treatment he successfully fundraised for the GMRI by completing the Mt Fuji Summit Race (https://fujiyoshida.net/en/see-and-do/149) - a 21km trail run, rising to 3,776m above sea level.
Climbing Mt Fuji in this race is something of a symbol for triumphing over adversity.

So what's the deal now?
Nick is now facing another bout of cancer and my colleagues and I are banding together to raise money for his favourite cause, GMRI - and hopefully inspire Nick to climb his Mt Fuji again.

---------
For my part in this, I am aiming to do "21 days of 21k's"...
each day from 1st until 21st of March 2022 I will accumulate a minimum of 21 kilometres on a stationary Assault Bike. If you know how bad these are, then you know why this is a true mental challenge, not just physical.
I'll be keeping track of my progress on Strava and here on Just Giving. My fundraising target is $441 - one dollar for every kilometre I'll push through.

Your support

Any support you can offer - from messages, raising awareness of this and any donations to GMRI will help keep me motivated to get on that machine each day, and also hopefully help Nick climb his Mt Fuji one more time.
