The cost-of-living crisis has already had a devastating effect on a huge number of people in the Northeast. As prices continue to rise, we are horrified to already be hearing of many cases where people cant afford to eat or heat their homes.

Story

As lockdown has hit many people in Aberdeen hard, we decided we would like to do something to help those in need in our local area as part of our Community Impact Badge.

We are doing a 2 hour hike to raise money for Somebody Cares Aberdeen and we are also looking for food donations for their food bank.

Please give generously to the Beavers - 2 hours is a long time for little legs (they are age 6 to 8).

If you would like to donate food please get in touch at beaverleader@21staberdeenscouts.org.uk

The items you can donate are:

-Tins of mince beef, ham etc.

- Fresh Vegetables and fruits

- Toiletries like: toilet paper, soap, shampoo etc.

- Baby nappies, baby food

- Clothes
