Hi everyone. I am going to be undertaking a 30 day challenge throughout April by wearing a 20kg weighted vest to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK who help increase awareness for better prostate cancer treatment, diagnosis, support and prevention.

9 years ago, my dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer. After having routine blood tests and his PSA (prostate specific antigen) levels checked, results came back and his levels of PSA were dangerously high. With the fast work of the cancer team at The Christie, he underwent treatment and surgery, and is now in his 5th year with consistent safe PSA levels.

From the 1st April I will be wearing the weighted vest all day everyday for 30 days, during all work, training and activities. Only taking it off to shower and sleep and if performing exercises/sport where it could prove dangerous.
