Ukraine has faced almost eight years of conflict. With recent events, we want to be there for everyone who needs us

Story

35-70 - A Ninja in Russia was 7,000+ nautical miles, 32 countries over 35 days covering 35 degrees of latitude to 70 degrees of latitude, leaving on 20th April 2022. It emerged when Luke Christophides and Graham Naismith met at Flight Sport Aviation (Deanland, nr Lewes, East Sussex) in the summer of 2020.In the spring of 2021 Luke said "you'd benefit from a week's trip". In the summer of 2021 they flew from Deanland in East Sussex, UK down to the Scilly Isles and up to North Wales and back. Over the Bristol Channel Luke said "we should do a longer trip".

So a trip from the UK, down to Greece and Turkey, up through Ukraine, into Russia and then up to Scandinavia and home developed. We were going in G-NINJ, a Skyranger Nynja microlight made in Ukraine. However on the 24th February 2022 everything changed when the Russians began an invasion of Ukraine which has led us on an amended route, bypassing Ukraine, Belarus and Russia.

There will be significant fall-out from the events in Ukraine for a long time to come. This money goes directly to the Red Cross for help in Ukraine. Please, if you can, include gift aid.
