On April the 18th 2014 My Self and my good friend Hig will be playing and streaming Starcraft 2 for 48 hours in aid of Special effect.

 Hi all

Bellow are the donation incentives for the event this Friday :) also we might have a Pro player show match on during the event thanks to Azylis go check out her stream :), she will hopefully be joining us for some games along with Winter starcraft and Fate winters if they are free :)

100 - Bi board - one player on keyboard one mouse for 5 games each

200 - blindfolded - one player blindfolded the other trys to direct them for a game each (more if popular

300 - Feel the burn - one player has to win and based on their unspent resources divided by10 the other player does that many press ups/situps but if they lose then the player playing does it

400 - Switch out - every 3 minutes the player have to switch who is playing for 5 games

500 - 6 Donators can win an hour of coaching from me

600 - WE will dance to the Venga boys :/

700 - We will sing the poke rap :/

800 - 2 hours of games with viewers

1000 - we will play the SC2 campaign from WOL to HOTS all the way through

Donation incentives:

Any amount :name on stream

£1 viewer gets to pick a song regardless if we want to listen to it

£5 viewer gets a game vs one of us next game 1v1

£10 viewer gets to pick an arcade game to play with us next game regardless of if we are playing ladder etc

Donators get priority of pick if there are a lot of viewers

Any one who donates £10 or more will be added to the custom T shirt raffle

Previous incentive are unlocked with each one e.g. £10 allows the donator all 3 incentives. We will take request for donations such as cheese builds etc

Q&A

Why Are you doing this?:

I am doing this event because I really believe in what Special effect do.  Games have been an important part of my life and I think everyone should be able to experience games regardless off if they are handicapped or not and Special effect allow people with handicaps enjoy what I can do with ease every day.

 

Why Starcraft 2:

We have chosen to play Starcraft 2 through this 48 hour period because it is one of our favourite games.  I (Dan) Have been playing Starcraft since I was about 12 now and Starcraft 2 since it came out (recently really got into it) I got into it due to its style both game play and artistically ever since I saw the 1st zerg structures in the starcraft1 demo I was hooked. 

What if the Starcraft 2 servers are down during the event?:

 If for some unknown reason the servers are down during our event (preventing us from playing) we will still continue by playing other games throughout our time frame these games could range from Gears of War, DOTA 2, Awesomenauts, League of Legends, the Oddworld games etc etc we might even take requests.  But this is only if the servers are down :)

Will there be any viewer involvement?:

Yes at certain intervals we will gladly play with viewers in the various game modes within the game  including arcade games which are free to everyone even if they don’t own starcraft 2 allowing any viewer to play :)

 

Will you do requests for Donations?:

Yes we will play a certain race or game mode for certain donations among other things e.g. if people want to see for example a Carrier rush for a donation I would gladly do that (well I might be annoyed lol) for a donation to the charity :).

 

Will you be doing anything special through the event?:

We will be doing set goals (tbd) and taking request as long as they are within  reason (please be nice as we have to play for 48hours lol)
