Story
Lockdown sucks, but I count myself as one of the lucky ones. I really feel for people who can’t operate their small business, are unable to work/ have reduced hours or can’t get government support.
As we hit 70 days of lockdown and battle this once in a lifetime challenge together, I’ve decided to ride via Zwift, 70km a day for 7 days - the approx. distance from Sydney airport to Wollongong.
This is by far and away more km than a little battler like myself has ever ridden, but I do it with the hope of raising money for Foodbank.
Foodbank is facing a huge surge in demand for crisis support from people going without food. Any donation of any amount will be appreciated - and your donation will be used to:
- $35 will provide an emergency hamper to a person in need.
- $70 will ensure families in crisis have access to emergency food staples.
- $140 will help Foodbank get critical supplies to communities in need.
You’ll be able to track if I’m sticking to my end of the bargain via
- Strava - https://www.strava.com/athletes/56619720
- Just Giving donation page
- Instagram - I will post proof of my activities every day.
So please chuck us a few dollars if you can - you’ll feel good and more people will get fed !
