Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm cycling 145 miles from the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Stadium in London to the Amsterdam Arena, home of Ajax FC - in support of Prostate Cancer UK. I'm proud to be part of the St Albans City FC team taking part in the "Football to Amsterdam" pedal pilgrimage backed by The English Football League and the League Managers Association.
Our ride is for all those touched by cancer and in particular for friends, colleagues and their families who have recently been affected. Together we will beat cancer.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. Every hour one man dies from prostate cancer – that's more than 10,800 men every year. 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime.Ignoring prostate cancer won't beat it. Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition – to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.
