Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have signed up to complete another epic RideLondon 100 - a 100 mile road race through the Surrey hills and streets of London - this July 30th.
As you already know, very important family friend, Caron Mitchell, passed away at Michael Sobell Hospice at Mount Vernon Hospital just over two years ago after suffering with a brain tumour.
She was my mother’s best friend, and a fantastic wife to Ian and brilliant mother to two children - Thomas and Oliver. I have lots of significant memories of Caron from throughout my childhood, and I honestly would not be where I am today without her help getting me into my first work 'experience' with her team at Harefield Hospital.
I have only heard good things about the staff and the environment created at Michael Sobell Hospice in Caron’s final few days, and I want to raise as much money as possible in order to be able to reach out and improve the circumstances for others in similar situations. There is currently a 'waiting list' for the hospice who work tirelessly to relieve the most distressing symptoms, not only at the end of life but to provide rehabilitation and to give devoted carers respite.
Many thanks for reading,
Adam
