Story
Hi, this year I have joined a fantastic charity called Football for cancer (FFC) who have recently been awarded a official charity status. FFC have raised a staggering amount of money in the last few years and have donated the money to various other charities in our community included the Rowans and Noimi house.
My story,
I've watched the previous events on the outside and always felt I should get involved but never did... until last year when I lost my father inlaw who to me and my family was a extreamly important member and leader to us all. Darren lost his battle in November 2014 and I promised myself I would do and give anything I can in his honour.
So this year I'm fundraising the best way I know how to and that's kicking a small ball round a football pitch in this years FFC tournament. I will be wearing his name and the same number that Darren wore in his playing days, the number 3. I hope to be taking part with various FFC events for many years to come.
I'm targeting £500 this year as its my first time and would love for you all to help me out by reaching this massive target so please give what you can, but it doesn't stop there as I would love for people to turn up to the match days a support me and the many others raising money and awareness.
