Fundraising for Hillsong

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 4th May 2013, I will be taking on the Tough Mudder challenge. Tough Mudder is a hardcore 12 mile-long obstacle course (which includes tackling fire, ice, mud and electricity) designed by the Special Forces to test me and my team's all round strength, stamina, mental grit and camaraderie. The reason we are doing this is for the Kyempara Child Development Centre in Uganda, who do not currently have access to a safe water source. Sponsored children and their caregivers spend hours each day collecting clean water from the closest water supply in Bwera, 5.5km away.The long distance means that the children are often late for classes, unclean and too tired to concentrate on their studies. More worryingly, families will often risk using the nearby river for water, which is known to be contaminated. On average, between 6 and 10 Compassion-assisted children contract worms or diarrhoea every month because of this dangerous water source.
By sponsoring me to complete the Tough Mudder Challenge you will be helping raise funds which will go towards building a well in Kyempara which will provide the people with a safe and secure water supply.
