Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be running my first ever marathon and attempting to do it in a time of 4 hours 30 minutes.

I will be donating money to Cancer Research UK for numerous reasons. 

Firstly, a number of years ago my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and she battled hard showing incredible fight and bravery throughout the whole process. She had incredible support from countless  nurses, doctors, consultants and, after having help, love and support from friends and family, she survived. 

She is one of the lucky ones but there are many, someone you may personally have known, who have not survived. 

I have a number of friends who have had family members or friends not be so fortunate and I believe any small amount I can do to help aid research into curing cancer is a worthwhile cause.

1 in 3 people will be affected by cancer during their lives. I'm also fairly certain that you know someone (either directly or indirectly) who has been affected by cancer. 

Any donation large or small will be greatly appreciated and go to a very worthwhile cause.
