We are fighting to make a world where diabetes does no harm

Story

Wayne and Phil are walking 140 miles from Leeds to Liverpool along the canal from 14th to 20th September 2013 to raise money for Diabetes UK in memory of Alice. Alice sadly passed away aged 16 due to complications with her own Type 1 Diabetes, which she had managed since being diagnosed at the age of 3 and a half. Alice was a very individual young woman who absolutely loved music including Slipknot, Murderdolls, You Me at Six, AC DC, Motorhead and many more. She also loved playing the guitar, and in the last year of her life started martial arts and got up to her 2nd belt-orange, and was working towards her 3rd belt-yellow. She made an impact on so many people's lives. She is sadly missed by all her family and friends. We would like to raise money for Diabetes UK so they can continue to do research into the illness to improve the everyday lives of people with diabetes, and work towards a future without the condition.
