HELLO THERE PEOPLE!

Basically, being the "thrill seeking" knob head I am, I'm doing a skydive in July .. It's all booked & paid for. My screams of joy/terror will be filmed. It's something I've wanted to do for a while but never wanted to do without raising money for a good cause, I've chosen the Alzheimer's' Society as working with people with the illness is a passion of mine & as one of the most common illnesses amongst elderly people, it is still poorly misunderstood and individual's with the illness can be stigmatised.

A common term associated with people with dementia is "the long goodbye" & this should not be the case, the right training and understanding of dementia as well as research can provide better care for the future, as can support for family and carers affected by dementia.
