Story
Hi Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page
I'm running the Baker Hughes 10k on the 20th of May, I am doing this for raising funds for a very dear friend of mine, who tragically lost her daughter last year due to a cardiac arrest.
At least 12 young people die every week due to sudden cardiac arrests. 80% of these people have had no symptons and it is only through screening that the condition can be identified.
There is a simple way to diagnose mose cardiac abnormalities. This is by having an ECG (electrocardiogram) test. If any abnormalities are detected an cardioverter-defibrillator can be implanted which can save the persons life.
CRY provides ECG screening throughout England, Wales and NI but they do not have testing facilities in Scotland. My aim is to raise awareness so hopefully one day a screening programme can be brought to Scotland to help save more young peoples lives.
So please dig deep and donate now,all donations will be greatly appreciated
