For anyone who doesn't know, we lost our gorgeous 8yr old nephew very unexpectedly in 2013. The Newcastle Healthcare Charity provded invaluable support and I have decided to raise money as a small token of thanks.
This year - the year I turn 40 - I have taken up running.
Well, it actually started in Sept '15 with the great north run and has gone from strength to strength. My reasons are to raise as much as I can for the Newcastle Healthcare a child Bereavement charity, a case very close to my heart. They are a small charity who survive solely on charitable donations and without whom, some families would simply not cope with the loss of a child.
The highlight of the year is the St Cuthberts Way 100km ultra in July and by the end of 2016, I will have raced in 400 miles worth of events. 400 miles in the 40th year has a nice ring to it!
Please donate what you can - a jar full of coppers (not policemen obvs) to a jar full of notes (not the post it kind).
