Story
On the 16th April last year, my Dad, Ian Senior, passed away after over four years of living with Motor Neurone Disease (and less than four with an official diagnosis).
On 6th April this year, I want to remember him by running a half-marathon in Sheffield, and raising money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association at the same time. The MNDA only receive around £2m in funding annually from the government, meaning that it relies on fundraisers for both research, and for supporting patients with MND and their families.
I am hoping to raise £250 for the West Yorkshire Branch of the MND Association who helped my Dad with various things through his illness, including paying for an iPhone complete with software so that he could communicate with us when he first lost his voice. They supported us throughout my Dad's illness and afterwards, and they are SO deserving of any funds that get sent their way.
Any donations will be incredibly welcome, and I promise I won't use them towards my post-race pints, which will of course be raised to the man himself. Miss you Dad xx
