Story

A bike ride in celebration of Mike Willis in aid of Katharine House Hospiceand Oxfordshire Association for the Blind will take place on Friday 13 and Saturday 14th April 2012

Keeping a promise made to Mike, the Prime Minister David Cameron has agreed to allow some riders to start at No.10 Downing Street. The route will then go through London to an overnight stop and dinner at the Red Lion in Henley, before continuing on to Chadlington.

When no more than a humble regular at the Tite Inn, David Cameron took part in several of the charity bike rides from the pub. He said that if he ever became Prime Minister the event could start in Downing Street. He has agreed to keep his promise but for security reasons numbers will be limited to those who rode with him in the past. Other riders will start nearby.

The event is being put together by Andrew Hutchings of Cotswold Cycles and Richard Greaves who organized previous Tite Inn rides. This website will shortly show details of the route, the overnight stay and celebration dinner and the finale in Chadlington. The ride will involve about 60 miles each day.

The event will raise money for two of Mike’s favourite charities, Katharine House Hospice and the Oxfordshire Association for the Blind.
