Story
Five years ago I lost by brother Ian in the most horrendous of ways. Ian was obviously in a bad place and I hadn't seen the signs, I hadn't clicked that he wasn't quite himself.
Ian died tragically by drowning in the Irish Sea from the pier in Whitehaven. He was found ten days later .
I couldn't understand why I hadn't realised he was not himself, I blamed myself for not noticing as did other members of the family. I was beginning to feel very down about it all.
SOBS helped me to realise that it wasn't my fault and helped me to put things into perspective. Without them I would still be grieving and blaming myself.
I am running 115 miles in three days, despite suffering from joint pain, that's 38 miles a day to raise awareness and a few pounds for this valuable charity that I didn't even know existed before I needed their help.
