Story

On the 31st May, Andy Preston and Joe Storey will be playing squash for 24 hours to raise money for robbiesrally at the Devon and Exeter Squash & Racketball Club.  We will be rotating on court and playing members of the University of Exeter Squash & Racketball Club and the local Devon and Exeter club over the 24-hour period.

This will be a physically and mentally gruelling challenge which will push us to our limits. Slots on court will be auctioned in exchange for donations to robbiesrally, so please do get in touch with us at robbiesracquets@gmail.com if this is something you would be interested in!

robbiesrally is a charity that is very close to both of our hearts. Set up by the family of our flatmate and close friend, Harry Keville, in memory of his brother Robbie, who died from a brain tumor in February 2016. The charity is dedicated to providing specialist medical professionals to support children with brain tumours, with the aim of creating a rehabilitation service - called 'robbiesrehab' -  for children from around the NHS's Wessex Region following their chemotherapy and radiotherapy. The treatment for these children is incredibly harsh and can have detrimental effects to both their mental and physical well being.  For many, a return to school - the ultimate arbiter of recovery - is only a dream. Through specialist targeted rehabilitation, the children will be able to return to school and ultimately recover more quickly with our help.

There are 20-25 new cases of children with brain tumours in the Wessex region each year. robbiesrehab is to be based within Southampton Hospital, where Robbie spent most of his time whilst receiving treatment.
robbie'srally is fulfilling a vital need by supporting children and their families through such incredibly tough times and so any donation would be hugely appreciated.

Many Thanks,

Andy and Joe
