On April 21st-29th 2007 I trekked the Great Wall of China in aid of the National Autistic Society.

Trekking parts of the Great Wall and visiting China was an amazing experience that I will remember for the rest of my life!  We had a fantastic team, and we worked really well together!  After the matching from the Vodafone Foundation we would have raised over £64.000 for The National Autistic Society, which I'm sure you all agree, is a huge amount of money for a fantastic cause!

Did you know that over half a million people in  the UK are affected by autism or autistic spectrum disorders, like Asperger's syndrome.  The National Autistic Society is an amazing charity that is continually trying to improve the daily lives, as well as support the rights and interests of all people affected by autism. 

My sister is a teacher who works with autistic children and I really want to raise money to help this very worthy cause. 

On the 21-29th of April I will go on a strenuous trek along the Great Wall of China to raise money for the National Autistic Society.  Please sponsor me generously. 

I have paid up my registration fee of £250 and now need to raise at least £2000 to participate.  I work at Vodafone and the Vodafone Foundation will match every penny I raise, so all the funds will go to support the NAS.

 

WHAT CAN YOUR MONEY BUY?

£40 - Could pay for one family assesment visit

£150 - Could enable the NAS to run a workshop for 35 parents

£250 - Could help the NAS train 10 befriending volunteers - in turn providing support to 10 individual families

£1000 - Could pay for modern play equipment benefiting up to 50 children
