Story
The Oxygen Works: For over 25 years we have been providing practical and emotional support to people living with MS and other complex health conditions. We offer access to a wide range of therapies, supporting people to self-manage their symptoms. We actively seek to combat social exclusion, therefore we work with people of all ages living with a variety of conditions. In September we rebranded to The Oxygen Works; a name we feel reflects our diversity and ambition to become a centre of excellence for providing support to those living with health concerns.
Last year I (Anna) was diagnosed with a Frozen shoulder after a few months of thinking it was a new MS symptom. Fortunately it was not and I have not had any relapses since Jan 2014. However I was informed that a Frozen shoulder could take anywhere between 18 months and 5 years to resolve. Well if you know me I am not one to sit and wait something out. I explored the option of using Oxygen Therapy to speed up the healing process ( If Guy Martin can do it so can I) and have had around 14 sessions now. It has made a difference, not huge, but there is a subtle improvement. I am amazed at the stories I hear during my sessions and the value the therapy brings to people. I also hear of hyperbaric chambers lying empty in other places making people travel 100's of miles on a weekly basis to attend this one. I could not be luckier having this resource on my doorstep and want to raise funds to support this invaluable service for so many people. Shaun and I will be donating our 'beer money' at the end of the month but would love it if others can help us reach our goal of £250-£500 for this very worthy charity.
