Story

So I've been in the team for 2 years now. I still can't believe they let me in. I'm not a hero. It is a big commitment in time and energy - and hugely rewarding to help to save lives and be part of a great team. I want to be better at climbing and working at height - so I've set myself a challenge to complete a Via Ferrata in the Dolomites - sky bridges, vertical rock faces, scaling ridges. It is not my natural environment. Friends will know from previous challenges that I'm happier in the water - or even on horseback. This is going to take me well out of my comfort zone. It is my birthday present to myself. Can you guess how old I will be? (The clue is in my fundraising target!)

Big thank you to Sue B for joining in this adventure.
