Story
Dear family and friends,
Thank you for visiting my page.
I am very much looking forward to celebrating my big four zero with you all. I am a very lucky girl to have such wonderful and special people in my life and I know it!!
However, please don’t worry about a gift. If you’d like to give, then please consider a donation to a charity that is close to my heart: Delete Blood Cancer DKMS. DBC lead the fight to delete blood cancer by empowering people to take action, give bone marrow and save lives. With over 3 million registered bone marrow donors worldwide, Delete Blood Cancer DKMS is part of the world's largest bone marrow donor centre.
Any amount you can donate would be very much appreciated and go a long way.
In October 2013 our friends' daughter, Margot was diagnosed with Leukaemia, aged almost 14 months old. Margot's best chance of beating this blood cancer is to undergo a bone marrow transplant, for which she needs to receive a stem cell donation from someone with a similar tissue type as hers. In December Margot’s parents launched an urgent worldwide appeal for new stem cell donors. Thankfully a donor has finally been found beginning of February and they can now move forward with the bone marrow transplant. Without Delete Blood Cancer DKMS it would not have been possible to find a donor for Margot.
There are around 37,000 people worldwide in desperate need of a stem cell donation. Anyone aged 17-55 and in general good health can register as a donor. To find out more, please visit www.deletebloodcancer.org.uk / www.dkms.de or contact me.
Thank you very much for your support and your kindness.
Lots of love,
xx Anne
