Story
August 3rd 2018 will be the first anniversary of the loss of our dearly loved Fiona.
Fiona was an adored wife, a treasured Granny and a much-loved friend to so many. She was the perfect sister and the most wonderful Mum to her two boys.
Fiona spent her last days at the Nettlebed Hospice, run by the incredible charity Sue Ryder. Their amazing doctors and caring nurses ensured she was comfortable, pain free and gave our family some precious moments that we will cherish forever.
During our time there we were shocked to learn that it costs £8,000 a day to run the hospice and as a mark of our appreciation we would love to say in 2018… “August 3rd is on us!”
To raise the £8,000, Nick, Fiona’s eldest son (handsome one on the right) and Bruce her brother (dashing one on the left) will be running the London Marathon on April 22nd. It would mean the world to us if you would like to help us hit this target with whatever donation you can. Big or small, it all goes a long way to help Sue Ryder continue its much-needed work.
Donating on JustGiving is fantastically easy. It’s fast, totally secure and they’ll not bombard you with any unwanted emails. The charity receives the money directly and so everyone is happy!
We hope you can join us in our journey in whatever way you can and we look forward to seeing some of you at the finish line!
