Story
As many of you are aware we lost someone very close to us last October. Here at 740 Dental we wanted to raise money for a charity that really means something to us, something we all feel very passionate about.
Tasha was a massive part of many people’s lives, she brought so much joy to people near and far especially to her two beautiful children Keira and Leon. We have decided to raise money for Winston’s Wish as they provide an incredible service to children who have lost a parent by offering support and guidance. Losing a parent at any age is overwhelming, terrifying and impossible to imagine but no child should have to grow up without a parent no matter the circumstance. Unfortunately the sad reality is that it does happen, so we would like to raise awareness for a fantastic charity who can help under such difficult circumstances.
So in aid of all of this we have decided to host a charity quiz night in memory of Tasha to raise money for Winston’s Wish. The quiz will be held at The Lost Paradise on 27th Oct 2017 arrival from 6.30pm and quiz will commence at around 7pm, tickets will be at a cost of £5 to attend the quiz, we will also be hosting a raffle with many fantastic prizes to be won. If you would like to purchase a ticket please contact myself (Ayeisha Britton) or Steph Harvey. If you would just like to make a donation please do so via out Just Giving page.
What your donations will fund:
£5 could pay for Winston’ Wish candles that we use in the candlelight ceremony at our day groups, helping each child to share a special memory about the person who died.
£25 will fund the cost of one helpline call with a clinically trained practitioner. Our Freephone National Helpline offers guidance, information and support to anyone caring for a bereaved child.
£30 could fund a special memory box for 2 children attending one of our day groups, helping them to talk about and remember the person who has died.
£100 could enable us to provide 7 families with specialist publications to help understand childhood bereavement and support a grieving child.
£200 could fund our ASK email service for one day. This service enables families and professionals to ask any questions they may have to a clinically trained practitioner.
Thank you all so much in advance from us all at 740 Dental we look forward to welcoming you all to a fun filled evening.
