More than 10 million people have fled their homes to escape conflict in Ukraine. Leaving behind jobs, belongings and loved ones, they need shelter, food and water. Donate now.

Story

Every year at Becketts Farm we grow our wonderful field of bright sunflowers. We do not charge an entry fee, instead, we encourage visitors to donate to our chosen charity.

This year, we have all been so horrified by the ongoing war in Ukraine. As the sunflower is the national flower of Ukraine, we thought it would be right to support the Disasters Emergency Committee this year, and all the work they are doing to provide humanitarian aid to those affected.

DEC charities and their local partners are in Ukraine and across the border in the neighbouring countries. They are working to meet the immediate needs of all people fleeing with food, water, medical assistance, protection and trauma care. £30 could provide essential hygiene supplies for three people for one month. £50 could provide blankets for 4 families to keep them warm. £100 could provide emergency food for two families for one month.

If you have enjoyed a visit to our beautiful flower fields then please do consider donating. Together as a community we hope to raise lots for those still affected.
