We fund life-changing and life-saving work to support cancer patients at The Christie

Story

From 4th September we will be taking part in Challenge 3 of the campaign to raise £1m for The Christie - climbing the world's highest free standing mountain - Kilimanjaro.

Rob & Chris will be the first to attack her, with the rest of us (Isabella, Gaynor, Kenny, David & Stuart) following in their footsteps 2 weeks later.

This is the BIG finale to end our 3 years of fund raising, which has seen us trek across the Great Wall of China (year 1) and cycle across Vietnam & Cambodia (year 2) as well as organise fund raising events, jump around (on VERY hot days!) in The Christie Bear costume, pack bags at supermarkets and collect at football matches.

We've made some fantastic memories during this campaign, and been to some amazing places, but can assure you this has not been easy and we are truly earning every penny of your sponsorship - blood, sweat and tears have been shed, we have been pushed to the limits, and are 100% confident that the worst is still to come...........HELP!!!!!

Please, please, please continue to support us (through sponsorship and words of encouragement) and help motivate us to finish this campaign, hopefully whilst smashing our personal target!

We have funded the cost of the trip, so EVERY penny donated will go directly to The Christie, and our employer, Barclays Bank, has kindly agreed to match all sponsorships £4£ meaning your generosity will be automatically doubled.

If the thought of us being tortured (physically and mentally) for 7 days solid is not enough to part you with your hard earned cash, then please read on below to hear about our motivation for entering into this challenge……

As unfortunate as it is most of you reading this will have been affected one way or another by cancer, and by raising this money and supporting The Christie we are all helping others have a better chance of surviving this terrible illness.

We came to be involved in this fundraising event following the tragic death of one of my colleagues, Elise Roberts. Elise (aged 37) died in October 2010, after battling an extremely aggressive cancer.

Whilst battling her illness Elise set up www.eliseforlife.org with the aim of raising £1m for The Christie over 3 years.

Since this challenge started our team has raised over £160k, completing various fundraisers and challenges that have seen us committing our free time to this cause and spending a LOT of our hard earned cash on various flights, equipment and training weekends!

Please help us support this fantastic cause and it doesn't matter how little your donation is, every penny helps.

Thank you so much for your continued support.
