Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Here's my story:

Many people in this world have been affected directly and/or indirectly by Cancer and I am no exception. Already this year I have had the misfortune of experiencing two family members pass away at the hands of Cancer. My grandad Peter, and my uncle Martin were both much loved by anybody who had the pleasure of meeting them, and are greatly missed.

I came to the realisation soon after attending both funerals in the same week, that cancer has caused the passing on 6 people, out of 7 funerals that I have attended in my life up until this point. It also nearly claimed the lives of others who are dear to me as well.

Cancer is a horrific illness and takes far too many lives, and causes too much pain in the world. I have decided that Cancer is not something I am willing to tolerate, and I will do my best to help Cancer Research UK rid the world of this evil.

So please dig deep and donate now.

I have decided to take up an old love of mine in order to help me raise funds - Running. I will be participating in the Inverness half Marathon on 17th March. I will post updates on my just giving website and on Facebook to let everybody know how I am getting on. This is my first long distance event in two years and I am sure it will be a gruelling challenge, therefore donations purely out of sympathy for me are also greatly appreciated and gratefully accepted.
