Many of you won't know that Dad suffered from depression in his later life. He hid it pretty well but those closest to him knew what he was going through. It is a much misunderstood illness that for many seems to be without cause. Dad fought against it and, with the help of friends and family, had many wonderful times when he was able to rise above it and be genuinely happy. Sadly, there were many other times it also dragged him down to some very low moments.
